These terms apply to this website, published by Citizens to Elect Jim Zay, the campaign committee for Jim Zay, candidate for the DuPage County Board in District 6. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What this site is
This is a campaign website. Everything on it is political communication about a candidate for county office, published for general information. It is not legal, financial, or professional advice, and it is not an official publication of DuPage County or of any other unit of government.
Using the site
You may read, print, and share this site for personal, non-commercial purposes, and you may link to it. You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that interferes with anyone else’s use of it.
- Scrape, harvest, or collect email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information from the site.
- Try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its server, or any connected system, or test its security without written permission.
- Upload or transmit anything malicious, or use the site to send unsolicited commercial messages.
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your relationship to the campaign.
- Reuse the site’s content or images in a way that suggests the campaign endorses you, your product, or another candidate.
Content and marks
The text, photographs, graphics, and layout of this site are owned by Citizens to Elect Jim Zay or used with permission, and are protected by copyright. The campaign name and logo are marks of Citizens to Elect Jim Zay. Short quotations with attribution, and links to this site, are welcome. Anything more, including use in advertising or in another campaign’s material, needs written permission.
What you send us
Anything you submit through a form on this site, or send to the campaign by email, is not confidential. By sending it you give the campaign permission to read it, keep it, and use it for campaign purposes, including answering you. Do not send anything you consider confidential, and do not send anything you do not have the right to share.
Contributions
Where this site links to a contribution page, the contribution is processed by a third party and is governed by the terms shown on that page along with Illinois election law, including that law’s limits and public disclosure requirements. Contributions or gifts to Citizens to Elect Jim Zay are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
Text messages
If you sign up for text updates, you agree to receive recurring messages from the campaign at the number you provide. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Accuracy of the content
The campaign works to keep this site accurate and current. Dates, figures, and positions change, and a page may not be updated the moment they do. Nothing here is a promise of a particular vote or outcome.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Citizens to Elect Jim Zay and its officers, staff, volunteers, and vendors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, including lost data or lost profits, even if we were told such damages were possible. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is nothing.
